Once reports are generated, you can manage them directly from the Reports Dashboard. Access the dashboards through the menu on the left-hand side Reporting Center > Reports.
Types of reports
Emperor categorizes reports into visual and non-visual formats, making it easy to find and take action on previously generated reports.
- Visual reports: These are generated from predefined templates and can be viewed directly within the Emperor dashboard. They provide a structured, interactive way to analyze data.
- Non-visual reports: These are custom reports sent directly to an email address. They are used for exporting data outside of the Emperor.
Navigating the reports dashboard
The Reports Dashboard provides several tools for managing reports:
- Tabs: Switch between All, Visual, and Non-Visual reports.
- Search bar: Quickly find reports by name.
- Create a new custom report: A purple button on the top right lets you generate a new report from scratch.
For each report, the Reports Dashboard shows you the following information at a glance:
- Type of the report (visual, non-visual)
- Schedule (the dates of the schedule if the report is scheduled)
- Dimensions (all dimensions the report includes)
- Metrics (all metrics the report includes)
- Filters (all filters the report includes, if any)
- Actions (run/edit, copy, and delete).
Available actions
Each report type has specific management actions listed on the right side from each report name, under Actions.
- Visual reports can be run again but cannot be edited once created.
- Non-visual reports allow full editing, including adjusting teams, dates, and selected entities.
- All reports can be copied or deleted as needed.
This structured approach helps you keep track of your reports efficiently, ensuring you always have access to the data you need in the right format.
