A creative booking is a type of booking that places the a fixed creative on a placement.
The creative booking should be used in cases where you have more than one creative in the same format on a campaign, but for one or more placements you don’t want different creatives to be in rotation. In this case, the creative booking is the way to go.
Since a creative booking is only allowed to show a single creative, the booking will not be able to serve if the creative is deactivated or deleted. If the creative used for a creative booking is deleted, the booking will be deleted as well. If the creative is deactivated, the booking will not be eligible for ad selection.
Using a campaign booking will allow you to edit the creatives on a campaign, while a creative booking requires a bit more caution.
Example
Campaign A has creatives in the following formats: 300x250, 620x150, 930x180 and 600x250.
Media A has Placements in 300x250 and 600x250 formats.
Media B has Placements in 620x150 formats.
Media C has Placements in 930x180 formats.
Media D has one Placement in 300x250
A campaign booking is used to cover Media A-C, but for Media D, the advertiser has asked that a specific creative is used on the single placement. Therefore, you don’t make the campaign bookingcover Media D. Instead, you make a creative booking of the requested creative for Media D.
